Just traded in is this super nice very unique 1974 Chevrolet T-TOP L82 Corvette! This was the former owners baby & pride of ownership & care show thru-out on this turn key garage kept driver or show beauty! This 1974 was given a full updated restoration and has only been driven approx 2,500 miles since built & is believed to be a 62k mile car. I will touch on some of the restoration work! Loads or supporting documentation & reciepts "SEE PHOTO" This 1974 was fully restored and has been driven around 2,500 since completion. The factory numbers matching L82 350s engine’s original reciprocating components showed almost no signs of wear when this baby was punched out to the 383 & hi-po components up-graded. The original interior is in excellent condition & needed very little tlc to bring it to current level. The condition of the chassis and frame showed almost zero surface rust or wear that would normally be anticipated on most 45 year old cars with this mileage & use. The engine is in fact a “383” which retained the original numbers matching block. The heart of the new engine is an Eagle forged rotating assembly using 5.6” rods and Keith Black hyper-eutectic pistons with a measured compression ratio of 10.64:1 with a standard head gasket and the Dart Pro Aluminum 64CC combustion chamber (180CC intake runner) cylinder heads. The camshaft is a flat tappet Lunati 60103 VooDoo with the Comp Cams Magnum roller tip rockers. The Dart cylinder heads where upgraded with HD springs and the pushrod tunnels were “clearenced” for the larger diameter DH pushrods. The timing chain is a Cloyes double roller, It has a Melling high volume oil pump, The intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM and the Carburetor is an AVS 800. The car runs ultra ultra strong & sounds great with the side pipes! The cooling system uses a Dewitt’s performance aluminum radiator and twin SPAL fans. The list of high dollar engine and accessory system components goes on and on. No expense spared on this restoration. The suspension, steering and braking systems were removed, all hard parts blasted and repainted and all new soft parts installed. The show quality complete paint and body work was around $10k alone and is a custom color (heavy metallic flake yellow). The Factory black Leather interior was refreshed and pieces replaced where necessary but given the originality and excellent condition, some of the interior components where retained because high quality restoration parts are hard to find and are often not as good as the OEM pieces. The heat and air system was also completely replaced with a newer VIR eliminator system & condensor, compressor lines & new A/C control unit and converted to R134 & A/C is cold. The dash was removed to replace the heater box, insulation and heater core and repaired any related wiring and cabling that needed attention. This car screams early 1970s muscle and style and is sure to bring back memories for anyone who remembers those times. Car is priced far less than the restoration cost and what it would take to duplicate this car even if you started with a free car. Engine bay looks fantastic with lots of attention to detail with lots of endura-shine and chrome enhancements under the hood such as the intake manifold, power steering brake booster, master cylinder and water pump. The car drives as good as it gets it is strong, smooth and runs much better than a 1974 would have back then. This is one fine sharp show & driver quality Corvette! It is ready to enjoy now. All lights & guages work. It has cold a/c, nice working power windows & doors & hood open & close nice. Corvette is parked in our showroom it is that nice please call ahead too set up a time to check it out!
